Driving home from Ivy’s house, I felt invincible. I had experienced more wild and crazy sex than most people could imagine in my lifetime, but with Ivy, it was all different.

What we had experienced was more than just two people getting laid, what we did was intense. Powerful. Spiritual. Hot as hell.

As I pulled into the parking space back at my apartment that I shared with my brothers, I noticed loud music pouring from the windows. Of course, they were having another party.

My brothers took bachelorhood to a whole new level. While I had enjoyed hooking up with as many girls as possible, they preferred to get wild with lots of random people, loud music, and women.

Walking through the front door, I was assaulted by smoke and the smell of sweat. We had never really taken the time to decorate our house, but we had managed to keep it nice and clean. Now, these idiots were messing it all up. I watched a guy spill his beer on my black leather sofa as two guys yelled at the large flat screen television mounted over our fireplace. Ashes from cigarettes littered our dark, hardwood floors. There were people dancing in our living room and two girls were dancing and making out on the gray and white marble kitchen island. I could already see smudges and fingerprints on all of the stainless-steel appliances in the kitchen and thinking of cleaning this mess in the morning made me sick. As I made my way through the house, I looked for one of my brothers to yell at.

Just as I stepped into the kitchen, a familiar voice purred behind me.

“Hey Jameson, I’ve been looking for you,” Angie said as she ran a finger down my arm. Her strong floral perfume assaulted my nose and I almost coughed.

I shuddered under the touch. I still had Ivy’s smell lingering on me and that was the only scent I cared to remember tonight.

Removing her hand, I tried to push past her as I searched through the crowds of people standing and talking in my kitchen.

“Well, you found me, Angie. Sorry, but I’m looking for Micah or Brody.”

Angie stopped me by putting her hand on my chest. Looking up, she batted her fake lashes and smiled, revealing red lipstick painted on her front teeth. Looking at her now, I wasn’t sure what I had seen in her that made me attracted enough to sleep with her the few times I had.

She had on too much makeup, not the natural look like Ivy had. Her floral perfume was strong and overbearing, not like the vanilla and lavender scent that Ivy wore and made me feel calm. Even her voice was irritating me. It was high pitched and loud, not soft and delicate like Ivy’s.

“Micah went out to get more beer and Brody is around here somewhere with that new redhead that works at the bar,” Angie said, still eyeing me like I was a piece of candy she wanted to taste.
